Harrisburg-RogerWilliamsMy name is Roger and I love the world of fitness. I grew up in Brooksville, FL where I was always playing some kind of sport and staying active. After graduating high school I became a certified personal trainer with AFAA and started training clients one-on-one. I brought that experience with me when I moved to Orlando, FL to attend the University of Central Florida.

While living in Orlando I continued training clients one-on-one, while also coaching group fitness classes. This was my first time leading a group of people and I absolutely loved it, the atmosphere was very addicting! After receiving my bachelor’s degree in Sport and Exercise Science, I moved to Charlotte with a desire to put my degree to work. Thankfully, I found BBC.

The very first thing I noticed about BBC was the energy. It was contagious. I was so impressed and inspired by the unlimited support the members offer to anyone that walks through their doors. As soon as I stepped foot in the camp, I was surrounded by an amazing group of dedicated women. Every minute of the 45-minute workout is packed with hard work, vigor, dedication and support. I have seen many different fitness communities but the unlimited focus meetings offered by the trainers dedicated to goal setting and nutrition advice, coupled with the atmosphere I mentioned above, makes BBC a truly innovative and results-oriented workout experience.

Being able to shadow with Mike at the Concord location and attending Burn University have really sparked my creativity when it comes to movements and workouts. I always try to put myself in my client’s shoe, that’s why I strive to provide excitement and a fresh perspective to each workout throughout the week. My promise to you as head trainer is to never give you a monotonous weekly routine. I promise to keep your valuable time here at camp fun, creative and impactful.

By far, of the six years I have had the privilege of being a personal trainer, coach and leader, the most rewarding parts of the process are the remarkable transformations. Another reason I love the BBC family. People show up every day with a smile on their face, ready to take on whatever challenge we throw at them. The people of BBC fearlessly accept those challenges head on, working through them to become a better and healthier version of themselves.

Harrisburg-WendyEgertI’m a traveling, working mom to a 5 year-old son. In November 2014, I found myself at my heaviest weight. This was coming off a miscarriage and months of infertility medication. I also had a shift in my role at work as a NASCAR TV reporter and my travel schedule was changing. In December 2014, I prayed to get strong in many ways. And after years of excuses of not having enough time in my day, I specifically prayed for ENERGY for early morning workouts. Enter Burn Boot Camp.

I signed up for the 14-day free trial at the Concord location. In the warm-up of my first BBC camp I thought, “these girls are insane, I’m never coming back.” By the end of my first camp, I felt energized and convinced my sore body to go back the next day.

Within the first 30 days, I noticed changes quickly happening to my body. That encouraged me to be strict about my nutrition. I studied the information handed to me at BBC. I stayed consistent with My Fitness Pal and followed the BBC Core Plus plan (45% protein, 35% carbs, 20% fat). I learned what macros were and how to meal prep. I became familiar with eating healthy while traveling for work and fitting in BBC workouts in a hotel room, if necessary. If you travel for work, I’ve got TONS of ideas and tips to keep you on track!

Our Harrisburg BBC Owner, Mike Hartshorne, is incredible. He has a way of getting you to your max potential, and then teaching you how to kick it up one more gear. I was accomplishing things I never knew I could. The “Fit Community of Moms” at BBC Concord was also apparent. The women genuinely cared about my fitness journey. They encouraged me in camp and answered my silly nutrition questions when I began. I gained enough strength and endurance to start attending double camps. Now I find myself getting up without an alarm at 4am and I attend 10-12 camps every week! I typically burn 800-1,250 calories on average before 6:15am! I prayed for ENERGY and I got it!
