It’s not an easy feat to become a Burn Athlete. It takes dedication, guts, motivation, determination and a ton of discipline. Not only do our female Burn Athletes have to be below 15% body fat, but they also have to complete our Strength and Conditioning Assessment in under 10 minutes. It might seem simple on paper, but believe us when we say it’s a true challenge!
Today we’re shining the light on our Burn Athlete of the month, Beth Williams, and what makes her stand out above the rest. Let’s see what’s in her gym bag?…

What is your position with Burn?

How did you find out about Burn?
Burn fell into my lap! I was getting CPR/AED certified and a burn trainer beside me in class suggested that I interview with a guy named Devan who was starting up a brand new boot camp in the area and needed trainers… I remember one of the first sit down meetings with Devan included him asking me what my ultimate goal was and I replied with “I want to own my own gym one day.” Little did I know that 4 years later, I’d be the owner of a Burn Boot Camp in Cary with a second one on the way in Chapel Hill!
Go-to workout routine?
HEAVY WEIGHTS! Lifting heavy is my first love, but who doesn’t love a good athletic conditioning day?!
Favorite burst training workout?
Tabata! Tabata takes 100% effort & concentration and the results show!
Favorite strength training workout?
ARM DAY! Most women prefer leg day but my arms show definition the quickest and who doesn’t love to flex at themselves in the mirror? Just me?
Favorite cardio workout?
Double Unders & Quick Sprints!
Go-to pre workout snack?
I’ve never met a carb that I didn’t love, but my favorite pre-workout is a banana with almond butter or a piece of Ezekiel bread with sunflower butter!
Go-to post workout snack?
Favorite healthy meal?
Stuffed peppers or any variation of naked tacos!
