Training Cycle 8: Rise Higher

By Burn Boot CampJuly 21, 2026

This Training Cycle is about more than just building muscle. It is about confidence. It is about power. It is about showing yourself that you are stronger and more capable than you ever imagined.

From July 27, 2026, through August 22, 2026, we will focus on two foundational movement patterns: pull and jump.

 These movements push you to trust your body, lean into discomfort, and keep showing up for yourself, no matter what.

We start with Pull-Ups.

Pull-Ups demand everything from you, but they give it all back. They build strength in your back, shoulders, arms, grip, and core. They improve posture, create upper-body power, and develop the kind of strength that shows up in every part of your life. Maybe your goal is one Pull-Up. Maybe it is five. Maybe it is ten.

No matter where you begin, every rep counts. Every attempt is a win. Strength isn’t built when things are easy. It’s built every time you choose to keep going.

 Then it is time to look up. This cycle's jump movement is the Soft Box Jump. You will test your maximum jump height and discover just how powerful your body can be. Soft Box Jumps build explosive power, coordination, balance, and athleticism. They teach your body to generate force quickly and move with confidence. This movement is about more than jumping onto a box. It is about trusting your legs, your power, and yourself.

Training with Burn On Demand? You're right there with us. Burn On Demand athletes will follow the same progression using Lat Pull Overs in place of Pull-Ups and Forward Hurdle Hop Overs instead of Soft Box Jumps.

These movements train the same pull and jump patterns, building upper-body strength, explosive power, coordination, and confidence from wherever you train. Same purpose. Same progression. Same opportunity to prove to yourself what you're capable of.

Each week, you’ll test your max Pull-Ups and jump height. Four weeks. Four chances to grow, adapt, and celebrate every win.

Because at Burn, progress is not a guess. It is measurable. It is visible. It is earned.

Then comes the “Bodyweight Machine” Performance Challenge: Five minutes. Four rounds. One question. How long can you keep moving?

Each round includes:

* 30 Hand Release Push-Ups

* 60 Squat Star Jumps

You will have 45 seconds to work, followed by 45 seconds to recover, for a total of four rounds. Your goal is simple. Track how far you make it into the prescribed reps by the end of Round 4. Some of us will finish. Most won’t, and that’s okay. That’s not failure. That’s the point.

This challenge isn’t about perfection. It’s about showing up, staying consistent, and refusing to quit when your body tells you to stop.

Hand Release Push-Ups build upper-body strength, muscular endurance, and total-body control. Squat Star Jumps develop explosive power, coordination, conditioning, and grit. Together, they create a challenge that rewards your effort and uncovers your potential. You will complete Bodyweight Machine in Week 1. Then you will return in Week 4 with one goal:

Go further. Complete more reps. Build more confidence. Show yourself what four weeks of grit and consistency can build. That is the beauty of Training Cycles.

You’re not competing with anyone else. You’re competing with the version of you who started four weeks ago. At Burn, every workout has a purpose. Every progression matters. Every challenge is your chance to prove something to yourself.

This is not random. It is science. It is our Progression Promise. It is the Burn difference. You bring the effort, we bring the plan. Just show up for yourself, and we’ll take care of the rest. So mark your calendar for July 27, 2026. Pull higher. Jump farther. Stay in the work.

Because what you build here doesn’t stay here; it shows up everywhere.
