Burn Boot Camp Builds Momentum in May with New Openings & National Recognition

By Burn Boot CampMay 22, 2026

May was a milestone month for Burn Boot Camp.

Across North Carolina, Ohio, and Georgia, new locations opened their doors and welcomed new communities into Burn Nation. At the same time, the brand continues to earn recognition across the franchising industry for franchisee satisfaction, operational strength, and long-term growth.

Taken together, the momentum reflects the continued expansion of the brand and the franchise partners helping drive it forward.

New Communities Join Burn Nation

Burn Boot Camp celebrated three new openings in May, each led by franchise partners expanding the brand’s reach while building strong local communities.

Hope Mills, North Carolina | Opened May 4

Franchise Partners: Courtney and Justin Foy

Courtney and Justin Foy opened their second Burn Boot Camp location with the launch of Burn Boot Camp Hope Mills. The new gym expands their growing presence in the Fayetteville area and reflects a continued commitment to community-focused fitness.

Their expansion is part of a broader pattern across Burn Boot Camp, where franchise partners continue to grow within the system after building strong, engaged member communities.

Belden, Ohio | Opened May 11

Franchise Partners: Kristin and Sean Moore

Kristin and Sean Moore officially opened Burn Boot Camp Belden in May, bringing Burn’s strength and conditioning workouts, accountability-driven environment, and supportive community to a new market in Ohio.

Their opening represents continued expansion into communities looking for more than traditional gym access. Burn’s model centers on coach-led training, member connection, and long-term engagement, all of which continue to resonate in new markets across the country.

Athens, Georgia | Opened May 18

Franchise Partners: Lee and Heather Smoak

For Lee and Heather Smoak, the opening of Burn Boot Camp Athens marked another step in a long-term growth journey with the brand.

The Smoaks have been Burn franchise partners for more than six years and now operate multiple locations across Georgia, including Braselton, Oconee, Bethlehem, Macon, and Athens.

Their continued expansion reflects one of the strongest indicators within franchising: operators choosing to reinvest and grow within the same system over time.

Industry Recognition

Alongside new openings, Burn Boot Camp continues to earn national recognition for the strength of its franchise system, including recent honors from Franchise Business Review.

The brand has been named a Top Franchise by Franchise Business Review, earning a place on the organization's highly competitive Top 200 Franchises list. Burn Boot Camp was also recognized as a Top Franchise for Culture and a Top Franchise for Women, honors that reflect the values at the center of how the brand operates.

Unlike many franchise rankings, Franchise Business Review recognition is based entirely on independent, data-driven surveys measuring franchisee satisfaction, leadership support, training, and overall operational experience. That distinction reflects direct feedback from franchise owners themselves.

Culture, in particular, is increasingly recognized as a defining factor in franchise success. When franchisees align with the culture of their brand, its values, its people, and its shared mission, they're more likely to stay engaged, grow within the system, and champion the brand to others. That dynamic is evident across Burn Boot Camp, where long-term operator loyalty and community investment continue to set the standard.

The recognition for women in franchising is especially notable, as approximately 75% of Burn Boot Camp franchise owners began as members before becoming owners.

Together, these honors reinforce one of the defining characteristics of the Burn model: a franchise system built around community, support, and long-term operator engagement.

Other Accolades

Burn Boot Camp’s momentum extends beyond franchisee-voted awards.

The brand has earned recognition across the broader business and franchising landscape, including the Entrepreneur Franchise 500 honoring growth, financial strength, and brand power.

These recognitions reflect sustained growth, expanding brand awareness, and operational consistency across locations nationwide.

Looking Ahead

From Hope Mills to Belden to Athens, May’s openings highlight the continued expansion of Burn Boot Camp through franchise partners committed to building strong local communities.

As the organization grows nationwide, its momentum is driven not just by new locations, but by franchise partners who continue to invest in and grow with the brand over time
