What Is the Burn Boot Camp Franchise Fee?
The standard initial franchise fee for a Burn Boot Camp franchise is $60,000, paid in a single lump sum when the Franchise Agreement is signed. The fee is nonrefundable. The fee covers the grant of the franchise and access to the initial education program for the franchise partner, along with up to two additional team members. What Does the Initial Franchise Fee Include?
The $60,000 initial franchise fee includes the following:
The right to operate a Burn Boot Camp business at a single approved location using the brand’s trademarks, systems, & operating model.
Enrollment in the required initial education program (Fundamental Burn U), typically conducted at corporate headquarters in Cornelius, North Carolina, or another designated location.
Training for up to three attendees at no additional charge: the franchise partner & two additional team members, as described in Item 11.
Access to the Burn Boot Camp operating system, brand standards, approved supplier network, & required technology platforms.
The initial education program includes approximately 26 classroom hours and 4 on-the-job hours and covers brand standards, fitness programming, marketing and sales processes, technology platforms, and business operations.
What Does the Franchise Fee does not Include?
The initial franchise fee does not include:
Travel, lodging, or meals associated with initial training (estimated at $600 to $6,000 in Item 7).
Real estate, leasehold improvements, equipment, fixtures, or technology systems.
Inventory, pre-opening marketing, or working capital. Ongoing fees after opening, including royalty fees, the System Brand Fee, technology fees, & local advertising requirements.
These costs are included in other categories within the total estimated initial investment.
When Is the Franchise Fee Paid, and Is It Refundable?
The initial franchise fee is paid in a single lump sum at the time the Franchise Agreement is signed. As disclosed in Item 5 of the 2026 Franchise Disclosure Document, the fee is nonrefundable. This structure also applies to any reduced fee paid under programs such as VetFran or Development Agreements.
Does Burn Boot Camp Offer a Veteran Discount on the Franchise Fee?
Burn Boot Camp participates in the International Franchise Association’s VetFran Program. Qualified veterans may receive a 15% reduction on the initial franchise fee, reducing the standard fee from $60,000 to $51,000. To qualify, at least one owner must hold a minimum 50% ownership interest in the business and be honorably discharged from, or actively serving in, the U.S. Armed Forces at the time the Franchise Agreement is signed. These terms are disclosed in Item 5 of the 2026 FDD.
What Is the Franchise Fee for Multiple Locations?
Franchise partners approved for multi-unit ownership may enter into a Development Agreement committing to a defined number of locations. Under a Development Agreement, the per-location franchise fee (referred to as the Development Fee) decreases based on the number of locations committed: 1 to 2 locations: $60,000 per location. 3 to 5 locations: $45,000 per location. 6 to 9 locations: $40,000 per location. 10 or more locations: $35,000 per location. The full Development Fee is paid at the time the Development Agreement is signed and is nonrefundable.
