A good workout on the stairs builds strength, cardio, and burns fat. Stairs work your hamstrings, gluts, thighs and calves. Yes, you could use a stairmaster to work the same muscles but a machine doesn’t give you the same speed and extension of movement as the real thing. Every step counts.
