Upper Body H.I.I.T Workout

Let’s do a little high intensity interval training. We love H.I.I.T at Burn Boot Camp! Here is an example of an upper body H.I.I.T workout. It utilizes 4 weighted exercises. Don’t be afraid of weights.  A lot of women fear weights will make them bulk up. WRONG! Not if they are used correctly. Here’s a little science to help you understand.  When you lift weights that are challenging, you actually create micro-tears in the muscle fibers. Your body repairs those tears (this is when you feel sore) and in that process the muscle gets stronger. But muscle tissue is more dense than fat, so adding a little more muscle to your body and decreasing your fat actually makes you look leaner, NOT bigger.  The bottom line: Using weights builds muscle strength, helping to increase your metabolism and burn fat. All of the exercises in this upper body H.I.I.T workout will be challenging but the last one is, well, you just have to watch!
