WHEN PASSION MEETS PURPOSE: A FRANCHISE PARTNER STORY

For Erin and Jeremy, freedom is being able to do what you want to do. That’s exactly what they found when they became Burn Boot Camp Franchise Partners.

Erin was ready to get out of the corporate world and was looking for a new business after working for twenty years in HR Management. At the same time, Burn Boot Camp Gainesville was opening its location right across the street. “I walked in my first impression was they were onto something here and that this is something special,” Erin recalls of her first time walking in the gym. The next thing she did was go home to her husband to let him know she was going to quit her job and open up her own Burn Boot Camp location. “I liked my old job, but I only liked it. I wanted to see the future of the next 25 years of my career going through the motions. When I saw what a quick change and impact it had on my own life going there, and even him when he joined, I knew this is what I wanted to do. I want to pay this forward and give this experience to as many people as possible and build something for my family they’ll hopefully take on one day.”

When Jeremy tried Burn Boot Camp for the first time, he fell in love with both the workouts and the community, “I finally went to a Camp and I’ve never been more sore in my entire life. I was exhausted. I loved it.” Erin and Jeremy signed the Franchise Disclosure Document just a few months after she first stepped on the Floating Floor. They opened their gym in Leesburg, Virginia, not only changing their lives but the lives of everyone in their community. “When I saw how great Erin was doing at Leesburg, to be honest, I got jealous. I was like, I don’t want to do my job anymore because your job looks way more fun,” said Jeremy.

Jeremy was ready to fully commit to being Burn Boot Camp Franchise Partners together, “The biggest aspect that made us want to go all in was the community of Burn in general. I’ve been a member of probably every single gym on the planet. But when I walked into Burn, it was like nothing I had ever been to before.” A few years after they opened their Leesburg location, they had the opportunity to open their second gym. The owner of the Burn Boot Camp in Woodbridge, Virginia was selling his location so he could stay in North Carolina. They both knew that they were ready to expand and purchased their second location.

“I didn’t feel like I had a purpose before. Changing people’s lives and pouring into other people has a daily positive impact on my life,” Erin says about being able to help her community. “I feel good every day knowing that I’m contributing to somebody else’s positivity and fitness journey. I’ve seen people meet their best friend, someone who is like a sister to them now. It’s just life changing.”

Franchising with Burn Boot Camp has made an impact on their entire family. Being able to bring their kids to work when they need to and have a flexible schedule has provided more balance in their family life. They’ve also witnessed how prioritizing fitness and leading by example has affected their kids. “We have two kids now who are teenagers, and they see us still getting up every morning at 3 or 4 a.m. to go workout. They see us wanting to do better and wanting to help other people. It’s starting to register in their minds. It makes us have a purpose as opposed to just getting up and sitting behind a desk all day,” Jeremy states. “Burn has gotten us closer as a family because we’re not leaving for work at 5 a.m. and sitting in traffic for two hours. We’re able to be with our kids a lot more. My son plays lacrosse in high school and we’re able to travel with him.”
