“In June of 2014 I had a normal yearly doctor check with a cholesterol check. My cholesterol was 197. I was a runner and I
watched what I ate to some degree. I’m not going to say I didn’t have pizza and burgers with the kids without even thinking about it. That’s when I decided to get serious about being healthy.
I was skeptical because I had run over 3000 miles the year before and thought, if that didn’t do it what would. I felt ok and had enough energy do to most things – but I knew I could do more, feel better, be healthier.
I worked with my trainers at BBC Huntersville to come up with a plan that would work for me. When I started getting serious and watching everything that went in my mouth and following the food list my trainer Devan Kline gave me, I dropped 15 lbs, lost 8% body fat. I even had my cholesterol checked again and it was 147. Now I feel amazing. I am looking forward to my next 15 lbs down and even more body fat loss. I fit into clothes that I haven’t been able to wear in years!”
