“Before I joined BBC I was beginning to have a hard time fitting into my normal clothes and dreaded having to think about buying bigger sizes! I couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong because I was a member at a local gym (taking a “strength class” once a week and doing some free weights on my own 1-2 times per week), however I was not getting any stronger or leaner. I ran several miles a week (trained for 5Ks, 10Ks and a half marathon), but still had a muffin top and wasn’t getting any faster on my times. I have two young boys and needed tons of energy to keep up with them.

A friend told me she had started going to BBC. She explained how it was a great community composed of all women and that the workouts were never boring. She looked amazing and I figured it certainly wouldn’t hurt to try something new for free for two weeks. My current regime was not cutting it.   Therefore, if I wanted to look and feel different, I was going to have to DO something else. I needed something different.

AWESOMELY different it was. I was hooked after the first class. I have never been to one class since I started six months ago where our trainer Daniel didn’t have us do at least one new exercise we’ve never done before. He and the other amazing trainers have pushed me to do things I never thought I was capable of doing before. Daniel sat down with me on multiple occasions to discuss my diet and make suggestions, which I had never experienced at these “other gyms”. I have attained personal records I never thought possible; as I can now hold over a five minute plank, do multiple ‘real’ push-ups, and run faster (including uphill) than ever before. While having all this fun, my body fat dropped 12.5% and I lost 24 pounds! My arms, waist, hips and thighs shrunk a combined 13 inches! The great community of women you hear about…yeah, it is real. I have never been more encouraged and inspired by such a group of strong ladies.
