Marlyn came into BBC Cornelius just a few short months ago looking to start a new workout routine after having her baby. It was very apparent that Marlyn was a hard worker and ready to take any challenge trainer Morgan Kline gave her. Now 4 months later, she is down 14 pounds, 6% body fat, and 23 ½ inches!

“Before starting Burn Bootcamp, I was exhausted and on edge. My 14 month old still doesn’t sleep well, so I know that I am tired, but this exhaustion was something different. I just didn’t want to do anything. I felt uncomfortable in my clothes and no longer had any confidence in my body. I suffered from chronic back pain and could never find a solution to my discomfort.
A friend posted a link for a groupon for a month of bootcamp.
I hesitated because it would require me to get up around 5:30 in the morning. It just seemed impossible. However, then I changed my thinking to “let’s give this a try for a month, maybe it is the jump start I need.” So I bought the groupon.
I was skeptical/hesitant about joining BBC for a couple of reasons. First, I was scared that the trainers would be insane drill sergeants. Secondly, I was worried that I was way too out of shape. Lastly, the cost was a bit of a sticker shock at first. However, the first two reasons are incorrect and the money is totally worth it. The trainers are very welcoming and I have gone to other gyms and never achieved results like I have with BBC.
At first, the plan was to go 2-3 times a week. After my first class, I decided that I should go everyday so that my body would adjust to getting up early every day. Plus, exercise every day is a good thing. I found that working out early actually gives me more energy and starts my day on a positive note.
I will say that after my first few classes, I felt awful. Not only was I sore, but I was very nauseous. I figured that feeling would pass and I was correct. I started going 5-6 days a week for the 45 min bootcamp. After 6 weeks, I could definitely see some changes and was happy with my progress.
During the summer I knew I was going to miss some of my workouts because of traveling as such so I dialed down on my diet. I followed the Whole30 plan, which is very similar to the BBC Nutrition Philosophy of elimination dairy, grains, sugar, and refined flour. Now I feel the best I ever have. I have more energy than ever and I have confidence that I never have had. My back pain has completely went away and I have made my health a priority thanks to BBC!”
