Own Your Own Business and Leave A Legacy That Lasts

March 15, 2022

Let’s talk Burn Boot Camp ownership with Franchise Partner Lindsay Scheuer! Lindsay and her husband, Travis, own Burn Sarasota and are opening the doors to Burn South Sarasota, FL later this Spring! Lindsay is motivated to follow in the footsteps of the powerful women before her and leave a lasting legacy for her daughter, Rylee. She’s empowered to strengthen her community through fitness and connections that have true staying power.

Why Burn Boot Camp?

“I came into Burn during the grand opening. I had 2 kids, one of them still a toddler. Coming to Burn became part of my day. I loved the people, I loved the workouts, I loved I could bring my children if needed. I want to give this experience to other ladies in our community. We often forget to take care of ourselves, and Burn makes it happen by removing all of the obstacles.” -Lindsay

“We often forget to take care of ourselves, and Burn makes it happen by removing all of the obstacles.”

How has it impacted your family?

“Burn has made me a better individual, mom, and wife. I realized I am capable of running a successful business. I have seen myself grow so much over the last 4 years.  Being self-employed allows me to have control of my scheduled and still carve out the time for my family.” -Lindsay

What makes you proud to be a woman?

“Knowing we ARE capable of whatever. Being surrounded by so many amazing ladies in this brand proves that.” -Lindsay

Growing up, did society lead you to believe that women had a “place” or only belonged in certain rooms, at certain tables? How has your understanding of what it means to be a woman changed through the years?

“My mom was always home with us. I LOVED it!! It was my dream to do the same, which I did for a few years. After I found Burn I realized I could do both while still impacting other ladies in the community.” -Lindsay

What women inspire you and why?

“My mother-in-law Coral. She is a fearless leader with my husband in a female-dominated industry: hairdressing. She and my husband, Travis, have owned multiple hair salons in the community for decades. She puts her team first and treats them like family all while being an active member of our community; which is what I strive to do!” -Lindsay

How is Burn empowering women to have it all and be dynamic individuals who don’t have to fit into a box?

“Burn meets women where they are. At 5 am, 6:30 pm, with their kids, or without. We can have it all!” -Lindsay

What kind of woman are you trying to raise in your daughter? What kinds of things do you want her to believe about herself as she grows into a woman?

“My daughter Rylee is a little firecracker. She is creative and inspirational.  I want her to love herself for who she is and who she will be. I hope that myself and my mother-in-law inspire her to grow up to be a woman that also impacts other women.” -Lindsay

“I want (my daughter) to love herself for who she is and who she will be.”What legacy do you want to leave behind for women? “You can have it all! If you want something, go for it and don’t look back. I am an example of this!” -Lindsay
